On our latest job we have been building a rather elaborate bin store for the Nottingham Trent University. We are also building a place for the students to park their bikes; this is a work in progress. At Nottingham Trent University we have completed all work on the student accommodation including fitting doors, skirting boards, architraves and all the ironmongery. On the stairwells we have clad some concrete in MDF so it can be painted. All the pictures can be seen on my photo stream.
This garage conversion is for a landlord near Nottingham Trent University in the Clifton area. He is adding another bedroom to his property to enable maximum rental income. This is good idea and very easy to do with minimum disruption to the house and tenants. This work is on-going as you can see in the pictures with the garage door being bricked up and the floor joisting going in with 4” insulation blocks. We have worked closely with the building inspector who charged £290.00 and dealt with all the paperwork involving the council, with a private building inspector we were able to start quickly and didn’t have to wait for council permission. We will update you when the project is completed.
